when you make love with a truly great woman

Some days ago I watched Midnight in Paris, Woody Allen's last film which is set in Paris, and even though it reminded me a bit of Vicky Cristina Barcelona with the American-tourist-discovering-the-not-real-topics-of-an-European-country plot I have to say that I loved it.

Paris is such a wonderful city and also the 20s, which are a very important aspect of the film, are one of my favorite decades. I also loved the appearance of artists and personalities of the decade: Hemingway, Dalí, Buñuel, Man Ray, Gertrude Stein,... performed by such great actors, and also places like Monet's garden in Giverny or Versailles.

What I loved the most though was Marion Cotillard's character by far.

  1. I loved this movie, it was so cute! Woody Allen is great, as well as Paris, and the 1920s! I liked that all those great artists/writers were in the movie too. :)

  13. I just started watching this movie today. I was in Paris in Oct of 2010 and saw a movie being filmed at the restaurant in the last picture that you posted. I have been wondering what movie was being filmed there and I can't wait to finish the movie! I did go inside and eat dessert, just in case I ever found out what movie was filmed there. So I could say, "I ate in that restaurant!"
