Last week I had some very busy days! (and this week also... this year is crazy) I went to the 080 a few days to watch the fashion shows and as always I took way too many pictures so I am only sharing my favorite ones from the ones I liked the best.

Firstly this is what I wore the first day, we didn't have much time between fashion shows so I couldn't take any outfit pictures but Ramiro E and Le Look did for me! Thank you guys :)

Last Tuesday I was invited to the Press day at the Bershka showroom to have a look at the new Spring 2012 collection. Everything looked so beautiful, all the spring pastels and those fluorescent details!

My absolute favorite was the fruit jewelry which I am going to be looking for desperately! Everything is going to be released during the next few months so you shouldn't miss any chance to pop in a Bershka store and find something to indulge yourself with :)

Before Christmas we had to make a project for uni which consisted in designing a few outfits for an imaginary movie character and on Thursday we have to hand in some pictures of one of the outfits.

I had planned a photo session with a model (not a professional one, it had to look like a movie character) but we had some trouble about that so in the end I had to pose, even though I wasn't planning on topless pictures of myself I have to say that I am pretty proud about the final result which is all work of Carlos Moreno.

I really have to thank him and Laia Chic for the help, it wouldn't look half as good without them!

OnTop Barcelona

Last Wednesday I was invited to visit the OnTop Barcelona pop-up store at Boulevard Rosa. I had never heard about them before and I was delighted! it's a Catalan headwear only brand and everything was beautiful, of course, they have a pretty wide range of accessories for diferent kinds of people so you will probably find that something you've been looking for for ages.

There were truffles and white wine waiting for us and we got to try everything in the shop, they were kind enough to offer the item of our choice to keep and I choose that lovely headband you can see below, it is made of lace and has sequins also (you know how much I love that!) but don't worry if you can't really appreciate the details here, I am sure you'll get to see it again and again because I haven't really taken it off since then! haha

So if you're around Barcelona make sure you go visit the pop-up store! It's open until January 31st in one of the entrances to Boulevard Rosa, there's also a shop at Mataró Park and they'll be openning a lot of shops during 2012, so meanwhile you can get your accesories from the online store :)

I hope you had a lot of fun on NYE, at least as much as I did. We had dinner and the grapes at Joel's place and went to Apolo to end the night. It was the first year I wasn't having dinner with my family! So I was pretty excited :)

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! Mine's been a bit crazy: yesterday my grandma went to the hospital, today the other grandma... They're both fine though so don't worry ;)

Anyway this is what I was wearing yesterday on Christmas day for the family all-day-long lunch, it was not the first time I was wearing my last adquisition from TBA but I certainly felt like a cute little doll and I couldn't be happier when I saw the orange slide that matched my new shoes, gift from my sister.

It is known that TBA is definitely my favorite brand and I felt really sorry that none of my beloved pieces had had its own good enough outfit pics but the black and white Wednesday-like silk dress has finally got them and I love the result.

After some very busy months in which I've spent a lot of time with people who don't like to be in pictures (the two below) and who only one of them can take proper pics (sorry Ivan!) I think I can say I am back.

I have received lots of mails, FB messages and comments about people saying that they missed my entries and I do so as well so I'll try my best to update this a few times a week.

Last week Ivan, Miya and I went to the Fred Perry Christmas cocktail at Cafe Kafka and ended up having dinner at one of my favorite restaurants: Big J's Burger.

Some days ago I watched Midnight in Paris, Woody Allen's last film which is set in Paris, and even though it reminded me a bit of Vicky Cristina Barcelona with the American-tourist-discovering-the-not-real-topics-of-an-European-country plot I have to say that I loved it.

Paris is such a wonderful city and also the 20s, which are a very important aspect of the film, are one of my favorite decades. I also loved the appearance of artists and personalities of the decade: Hemingway, Dalí, Buñuel, Man Ray, Gertrude Stein,... performed by such great actors, and also places like Monet's garden in Giverny or Versailles.

What I loved the most though was Marion Cotillard's character by far.

As you might have noticed I am kinda obsessed about leopard print recently, one of my last purchases was the famous leather biker from Asos (which's got me obsessed since July!) that I can't stop wearing ! Don't think I've abandoned this! I am just too busy but don't worry because this is my last working'n'studying week, next week I'll have time again.

I still had to share the pics of my visit to Zamora and Salamanca so here there are the pics of my day in Zamora, I arrived the afternoon before but was too tired to take pics and we didn't really do anything especial. I stayed at Ivan's and Tamara was there too, we had a walk around the historic part which is full romanic buildings and had loads of delicious things to eat. I was pretty excited all the time because I happen to know a few people from Zamora and finally got to see the town they always talk about and I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all.

Also, I hadn't seen much of Spain, apart from Catalunya, Madrid and Zaragoza which is pretty near from Barcelona so it was great to see more of my country.

We arrived to Madrid the night of the Fashion Night Out but nearly couldn't go because it was very late, I was there just a couple of nights and we had breakfast at VIPS, did some window-shopping (don't really like Madrid to do actual shopping), had some walks, went out (even though there are no pictures of that),... just the same I normally do in Barcelona.

A month ago I was contacted by Stop Staring! , a gorgeous pin up style clothing brand from LA and they kindly let me choose a dress from their collection to keep. I was thrilled but since I've been ill twice during the past few weeks and I've been working more hours I haven't got a chance to take pictures to show it to you until a couple of days ago.

I have to say I couldn't have been more impressed when I opened the package, the fabric is really good quality and the pattern very elaborated, I hadn't seen such a really well dress in such a long time, it is really difficult to make a tight dress with such a good fit! So if you're looking for something especial don't forget to take a look at their website.

Also I wanted to show you two of my newest purchases, the leopard heels from Asos I had been eyeing for months and my recently arrived from NY Tom Ford Nikita sungasses! (I owe my mum a lot of money now lol)

I was a bit frustrated recently when I was asked who my style icons were, actually not because I would always say Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Kitching, but apart from Audrey I didn't think there's anybody nowadays whose style is inspiring or, let's say, especial enough. Until I discovered Ulyana Sergeenko :)

I first saw her on a streetstyle website and instantly fell in love with her gorgeous red velvet dress, her pale skin and dark long hair. Recently, I don't know where, I discovered her name and that she's a photographer and also a fashion designer! Her style is so perfect and classy but I obsviously don't only admire her for her clothes but her professional achievements as well.

Anyway, I hope you love her as much as I do, I definitely want to be like her when I grow up.

The fashion show of the Desigual SS 2012 collection was last Monday! As always, I went with my sister but this is the first time I could take pictures after the trouble they had about replicas and knockoffs some years ago and made a couple of private shows only for the employees.

Anyway, I have to say that the show was great, as usual! Not my style even though I fell in love with one of the Cirque du Soleil jackets that looked like a fairytale...

This time the show was at the new, still in construction, office building next to the W Hotel, by the beach. The first Cirque du Soleil collection was presented, along with the Desigual line for woman, the man's and kid's, the swimwear and the second season of Monsieur Christian Lacroix.

So it was Tuesday, the day after the wedding and the day we were coming back to Barcelona. We took the car in the morning and made a stop in Oxford, we only got to have a 1 hour walk around the city centre and I already loved the place. The sky changed from blue to grey all of a sudden so we ended up running to the car haha

Right after we kept driving until we got to Gatwick and that's how our little trip finished.

English wedding

It's just been a week and I feel like it's been ages since I was in the UK for the last time.

Last Monday was Sarah and Matt's wedding at a manor house near Leamington and even though it wasn't a very English wedding since there was people from all over the world (even a couple that had came from Japan!) I can assure you it was pretty English compared to what I am used to in Spain haha it was such an interesting experience I have to say.

For those who're wondering, Sarah and my sister were on an exchange program together when they were 14 or so and since they've been friends since then she invited us to her wedding. It was actually amazing to me to see somebody I've known for such a long time and that I haven't considered an 'adult' get married, it's like a whole new world. Also, in Spain, people don't get married until they're in their 30s nowadays so it's like... you know what I mean.

Yesterday I had lunch with Libs, Esther, Debo and Helena and after that we went to Plaça Catalunya. The camp is going to be there until next Sunday and since Libe is working at the Communication Committee (she's in charge of the social networks and so) of the camp we decided to take some outfit pics in the middle of the square.

I have a proposition for you all so please read carefuly.

The press is making such bad advertising on what the protest is and there's a lot of blind people, that are not even capable to go and take a look for themselves, who have wrong ideas about what it is about. They're pretending everyone to believe the people at the square are just a bunch of hippie anarchists so the idea is to show everyone that all kind of people and citizens are behind this!

discovering the deep England

We went to Stratford Upon Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace) on Sunday, it is a lovely town. Apart from the ducks and swans we saw a goose! (El Ganso, the shop I work at, means The Goose) We also ran into this little vintage market in which I didn't buy anything but there were some really amazing and inspiring pieces (if I was rich I would be a vintage clothes collector, seriously).

After lunch we went to Warwick and visited a wonderful gothic church, we were really tired so we missed all the medieval buildings there are.

On Saturday we got to London by 11 am so first thing we did after having breakfast at Gatwick was go to the Orla Kiely sample sale, well just my mother and I did. I got a couple of things (mom helped, have to say). When my dad came with some friends of him I went to Oxford St were I was meeting Eva and I spent the afternoon shopping with her, we had lunch at Wasabi (addiction of mine) and then met again my parents and this time my sister and her boyfriend as well at Wapping (my parents's friends live there) so we went to the Wapping Project and saw the marvelous installation by Yohji Yamamoto (thanks to Helena for letting me know about that!).

So after enjoying a bit of London we took the car my sister and George had rented and headed to Leamington. How weird it is the driving on the left! I just watched a bit of Titanic when we arrived to the hotel and we had dinner at a cute little bistro :)

I meant to post this entry before but since I was very busy and had trouble with my internet I couldn't get to post it before going to England.

Last week's Saturday (not yesterday!), it was the Le Look party and even though we weren't there for a long time I managed to take some pictures. After that we went to Dixi and Laia and I ended up at Sr Lobo (lol) but after a certain late hour it is known that putting cameras away might be the best thing to do.

Le Look had organised a meeting with creatives from Leeds and constantly compared it to Barcelona, but I'd say it's the Murcia of England! haha of course, both cities do even have a music festival haha

Today is a very special day, you know? It is my blog's birthday and it is turning 2 :) isn't that sweet? So, do you remember last year that Libe and I had a party to celebrate? Today Helena and I have had a picnic today during my work break with burgers from Pim Pam Burger and cupcakes from Lolita Bakery, my blog wasn't phisically present this time but we had a little doggie who wanted to eat something too!

This is a huge offtopic btw but I am going to England tomorrow! I've got a wedding near Birgmingham on Monday but tomorrow I'll be in London and will be lucky enough to go to my first Orla Kiely sample sale, I couldn't be any more excited :D

Last Saturday I had the pleasure to assist a lovely brunch organised by the recently launched fashion online store Fashion Pills. Cris is working on the communication so she invited some fellow bloggers to present the website.

I don't know if you people from other countries have heard about this, but there's something going on in Spain at the moment. I didn't feel like I had to talk about this but after seeing the results of the local elections we had last Sunday I really need to.

The right wing party won in most of the country, luckily not in Barcelona even though a right wing party won too, but Catalan right wing so it's not that bad. The thing is that the general elections are next year, and I can't imagine how will it be when the right wing wins, because they will. I get sick of only hearing what the president of the party says in their meetings, it's got no sense, at all, how can somebody run a whole country not doing anything but blaming others and believing that all immigrants should be out of the country? To name a few things. Where's freedom?? That's not democracy.

And that's what all the camps in city centres all around Spain are complaining about: we want a real democracy. And I know you can't make anything to prevent us from the results in the next general elections but I thought you should know.

I tried to apologise in advance in my previous post for the too much lingerie-related content I was posting lately but I have received some complains anyway so, even though I have lovely outfit pictures from today, I'll post them another time (I have to go get some stuff ready since tomorrow I'll be working all day!).

The weather we're currently having is making me do exactly what I do during my summer holidays: lie all day on my sofa watching series and drinking Nestea. My parents had just been to Lolita Bakery a couple of days before that and bought some yummy cupcakes, isn't that sweet?

These pics are actually from a month ago, but I've spent some afternoons this week doing exactly the same without the delicious cupcakes and watching Sex And The City instead of How I Met Your Mother :)

I recently realised I haven't been able to stop thinking about this kind of shoes for a while, specially, the open oxfords by About Arianne!

I loved the Winter collection when we discovered the brand at Cibeles Madrid FW in September but the Summer one is even better, it is called Swing Beach and the whole lookbook has got this Miami vibe that I am loving at the time.

Now that I've got a job I will seriously consider getting a pair! I can easily see myself this summer with them and a lovely little dress.

Yesterday I went to the Rosa Clará fashion show with Helena. This is one of the best-known bridal fashion designers in Spain and Helena's aunt happens to work for her so we had an invitation to the show, which was pretty cool in my opinion.

I have reached the 900 followers on Google Friend! And I should really do something to celebrate but right now my life is a bit of a mess so it will have to wait.

I know I shouldn't but I am already thinking what to get once I get paid at the end of the month. This is the first real job I have and since I was 16 (age from which you can have a job in Spain) I have been thinking about what would I spend my first salary on and these are just some ideas:

Today I've come across this adorable top by Nadinoo (top left) which I wonder if it would look good on me since I am not especially flat-chested, you know. It is also known that TBA is probably my favorite brand and the current collection is probably the loveliest so far so I want everything, even though these two dresses are my favorite.

In the middle there's the cutest scalloped dress I have been in love with for months from Asos and next to it my favorite set from Agent Provocateur this season, I am so going to have that waspie.

Finally, not with my first salary, but I am definitely going to save a bit every month to get it, a Mulberry Alexa, problem is I would like it in a very especial color and I don't like any of the current ones, raspberry would be perfect. And, just like Laia Chic, I am getting those platforms from Zara which are absolutely the greatest thing.

As long as I gaze on Waterloo sunset, I am in paradise.

So, you can't imagine how busy this week has been for me, I am just going to say that I got a job! Let me introduce you to one of the new shop assitants at the new shop of El Ganso, which is probably openning tomorrow or Friday :)

just had the craziest weekend

I spent most of the weekend getting everything ready for the photo session we had on Sunday, it would have been absolutely normal if it wasn't because my house was a complete mess! There have been workers painting and doing some stuff in my living room the whole weekend and everything we have there was all over the place.

On Saturday I mostly worked on a dress we used for the pics, I love it so much, I consider it my masterpiece to date :)

Base Film Fest party in Terrassa

After the 30+ pics entries I am making recently (ok, just a few have been so heavy) you're going to find this short.

Last Friday was the Base Film Festival Party at a club called Faktoria in Terrassa. The Base Film Festival is a festival held every year at one of the best-known cinema colleges around Barcelona, the ESCAC, and this is the first year that the party is not at the set of the ESCAC, which is quite sad, last year it was a private party and it was definitely much better than this time.

As we did last year (I didn't post that but Libe did!), the night started at Kim's room in the hotel where we had dinner and some red and pink looking drinks (Libe brought strawberry juice) and then we went to the party but we haven't got any pics of that.

Yesterday Libe and I went to this blogger's meeting which consisted in a brunch at Marmalade, a place we'd been before a couple of times, for brunch and cocktails too.

Yesterday I went out with Eva and Mery. I have been going out A LOT recently but I never take photos of that because I don't feel like carrying the reflex all night, too much responsability. But yesterday I felt brave enough.

I really felt like I had to show you pics of my nightlife since recently I've had two very defined styles: the romantic and the pin up, and you normally only get to see the first thing but I am really proud and enthusiatic about the second too.

We drank a bit in the street (botellón, you shouldn't do it if you come to Spain, it's not allowed!), went to Dixi and came across a lot of friends of ours.

This is the very last entry of pics from my trip to NYC last month (a month later as usual!). This are all from last Sunday 13th of March.

We went to this flea market at Columbus Avenue between 76th and 77th Street, had the most delicious Eggs Benedict and strawberry butter (best thing ever!) at Isabella's right across the street. Got some DELICIOUS cookies at Levain Bakery and just went home, took a cab to JFK and saw the sunrise while we were between Ireland and Great Britain :)

So one to last day in NY! It was a Saturday and my mother and I got up early and went to get a couple of shirts for my father at J.Crew, after that we walked to Madison Square Park and the flea markets at 25th St. At lunch time we met my sister and her boyfriend at Bedford Avenue and went to Juliette (where we had already been two years ago), chilled out at this park in Williamsburg, did some secondhand shopping and had dinner at Les Enfants Terribles.

It's been a while! This is probably the busiest week I've had so far... Now I understand what my friend Anaïs who is studying cinema has to go through every week. I have been working on a short film since Friday, costumes, you know. I must admit that I am having so much fun but it's a lot of hours every day!

My mother and I had a morning walk around the Soho, went to Union Square by midday, met my sister for lunch and went to this Italian place in West Village, had mani-pedi and went home to have a siesta because we wanted to go out at night but we finally stayed in and watched this really fun movie called Easy A.

On Thursday 10th it was rainning so we went to the Natural History Museum in the morning and the MoMA in the afternoon. In the evenning we met my sister, her boyfriend and some friends of them at the openning of an exhibition at an art gallery in Spring Street, after that we went to have dinner at this lovely Italian restaurant in Prince Street.

I hadn't been to the Natural History Museum (I actually had but half an hour or so) and I really enjoyed it! My favorite parts were the recreations of the animals in their habitats, the Tibet Peoples and the Pacific Peoples.

I know I also kind of feel sorry about not posting many pics of myself recently, I was behind the camera all the time in NY and my father couldn't came this time. Also wanted to have a break of pics of NY since I am afraid you'll be bored but it is so rainy in Barcelona I don't feel like taking pics nor doing anything at all!

On Wednesday I had the most delicious Red Velvet cupcake ever (from Magnolia) for breakfast. My sister was working this day so my mother and I had a walk around the area where she lives (near Ground Zero) and did some shopping at Century 21. After lunch we went to Times Square and actually spent most of the afternoon at the huge Forever 21, in the evenning before meeting my sister we went to buy some swimsuit fabric because I want to make a floral bikini for this summer and finally had dinner at an awful Chinese restaurant at Korean town that I don't recomend at all! haha

Before I keep posting pics of my days in NYC there are a couple of things I have to say. I received an e-mail about the title of my last entry and I don't care at all if being a lawyer is awesome or boring, I am watching How I Met Your Mother at the moment and I was just quoting Marshall at the chapter of the Liberty Bell. Yesterday an anonymous said that I don't update enough frecuently, I remember when I wasn't a blogger yet that I only used to read other's blogs and how angry I got everytime I went to one of my favorites and found that there wasn't anything new, I would like to ask for some comprehension, we've all got a life here and even though I'd love to update my blog much more often I can't! I am studying a degree and I also like to go out with my friends, I do my best but you can see the amount of pictures that I am posting recently, I can't just spend all my afternoons in front of Photoshop!

So let's continue with last Tuesday! We went to 72nd Street and went walking to Le Parkier Meridien at the 56th to have one of those delicious burgers they make. Went to the Rockefeller Center, bought banana pudding (delicious banana pudding) at Magnolia Bakery and just had a last walk to the subway before going back home. That evenning we organised a dinner and some friends of my sister came by.

Being a lawyer had better be awesome.

Last Monday I woke up with Lily on my bed. We went to the Soho: Opening Ceremony and Topshop. After lunch we went to the National Museum of the American Indian where we accidentally found ourselves in one of the settings of Black Swan. There was this exhibition about horses and how the Indians got used to them after the Spaniards took them to America and so much stuff from the Indians of all over the continent.

After visiting the museum which I really recomend (there is not quantity but quality) we went again to the Soho: the MoMA shop, this bar at the corner of Broadway and Spring St, LF Stores, Agent Provocateur,... there are some pics of my purchases at the end of the entry :)

Last Sunday my sister and her boyfriend rented a car and we all went to Atlantic City because they were willing to find their poodle puppy there (and we did!). It was very rainy but we went to this Hotel with Casino called Tropicana and dreamed about being in Las Vegas.

I have been quite obsessed with Boardwalk Empire so we had to go to the beach to see the real boardwalk haha

As you'll have probably seen at Sandra's blog we met for dinner on Saturday, we went to Cafe Habanna at Prince with Elizabeth St, a lovely mexican restaurant with the best strawberry Margaritas but the food seemed to be to spicy for me haha

Nina joined us later and we went to Epistrophy to have some wine, my family came by later and I went home with them since I didn't have any keys!

Saturday was our first official day in NY. We went to the West village because my sister and her boyfriend were willing to buy a puppy vso we visited some pet shops, we were to the 4th with Waverly Place (where Don Draper is supposed to live! haha), to Washington Square, Noho and had lunch at a Greek restaurant called Pylos at 7th Street with Ave A.

Friday was a very long day. My father took my mother and I to the airport and we had breakfast together before we went to catch the plane. The flight from Barcelona to London was delayed so we missed our connection, we caught another flight 2 hours later and finally arrived to NY at 10 pm (5 am in Barcelona!) but it was cool because we're not having serious trouble with the jet lag...

I feel kind of bullied when everybody's got iPhones or Blackberrys except of me lol

Let's see how they work at the Bershka office

Last week I was invited to visit the Bershka offices just like Saray from DansVogue did last month.

The offices of Inditex of Barcelona (Bershka, Oysho, Massimo Dutti and Lefties) are in Tordera, a town that's an hour away from the city so my father took me there.

It was a very interesting experience! Since I know a bit how this industry works it is always great to see how it works in the different brands. Now I can say that I wouldn't mind working for Bershka, at least for some time.

Carla took me around the installations and told me everything about Bershka, the different lines: Bershka, Bsk and Boys. She took me to the pilot shop they have there, it's were they do all the visual stuff so that the shops have samples of how to arrange the clothes, and finally, I had to make two outfits and Carla took some pics that will be in the website tomorrow if I am not mistaken. (I'll post them here anyway so don't worry, you won't miss them!)
